Lev's 6 Month Session

The Essington family met me at Lake of the Isles for Lev's 6 month photos. This adorable little guy surprised us all when he sat up on his own for a couple photos! He is just the happiest baby and such a delight to photograph...just look at that smile!!

Cartwright Family

I can't believe Zoey is 9 months old already! It's been so awesome watching this little one grow into a beautiful, happy, active little girl. I just love her and her parents.

(And by the way, how cool are these outfits that Dina's friend brought back for them from Kenya?! I just love the pop of color in every single photo.)

Ann

Ann's session was so much fun! She is such a kind and wonderful person and I loved my time with her. This session was a bucket list item for Ann and I was so happy to help her accomplish it!

Andra Suchy

This just may be my favorite session of all time. What's not to love?! A beautiful lake, magical sunset, and the gorgeous and incredibly talented Twin Cities musician, Andra Suchy. Working with Andra was an absolute dream! She didn't even think twice when I asked her to go jump in the lake...how fun is that?! I hope you all love these photos as much as I do!!

Cody & Leah Engaged!!

I had the honor of photographing an engagement this past weekend. This wasn't just any engagement though, this was Andy's little brother, Cody. Not only was I excited that he was proposing to Leah (possibly the sweetest, funniest girl on earth) but he was doing it on the day they closed on their new home!! How sweet is that?!? 

I "made" them take a photo in front of their new house and he completely surprised her with the proposal! It was one of the sweetest moments I have ever witnessed and I'm so happy to have been a part of it. 

I absolutely love these two and can't wait to see what the future has in store for them. 

Adventure! Itasca State Park

I've lived in Minnesota my whole life and I'm ashamed to say that I have never been to Itasca State Park. I know, I know... I'm a bad Minnesotan. We made it a priority to get my butt up there this summer and let me tell you...I'm so glad we did. It is so beautiful. I did the whole walk across the Mississippi River thing, but the best part was Lake Itasca. Everywhere I looked I was stunned by how incredible it was. And the loons?! Oh my gosh...so many loons! It was really awesome to hear their calls and see them with their babies.

Paul Mayasich Album Design and Photos

Paul Mayasich's new album 'Threads' was released yesterday. Andy and I had the pleasure of attending his CD release party and being some of the first people to hear these beautiful, original songs. I was fortunate enough to not only do the photography for the album, but also the layout and design.

Adventure! North Shore

We spent Memorial Weekend on the North Shore and let me just say...I'm in LOVE!  I think the Gunflint Trail is my new favorite place in Minnesota. The weather wasn't in our favor, but we made the best of it. We checked out the adorable little town of Grand Marais, drove to Canada to hit up a Tim Hortons and drove the entire Gunflint Trail. It's been a dream of mine to see a real, live moose in the wild...and we saw one standing right in the middle of the Gunflint Trail! Ah! So amazing.

Kuhns Family

The Kuhns family came up from Waseca for our beautiful Sunday morning session at one of my favorite little spots in the city. I had so much fun getting to know this awesome family!

Adventure! San Francisco

A work convention had me traveling to San Francisco and since I've heard so many great things about the city, I thought I would extend my trip and see all there was to see! My friend Jodi met me out there and we enjoyed three fun-filled days of beautiful weather, interesting sights and all the touristy things you have to do while in San Francisco.

Trip highlights included a drive across the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown and fortune cookie factory, a cable car ride (which was WAY more fun than I could have ever anticipated) and sitting on one of the many piers enjoying the beautiful bay weather. My favorite part, by far, was Muir Woods National Monument with the oldest and largest trees I have ever seen in my entire life. For a girl obsessed with trees, this was a dream come true. I loved every moment of our time there and would love to go back!

All in all, San Francisco was a super cool city and I would definitely visit again, only next time I would be more prepared for the crazy hills, over priced food and seeing all the homeless people laying around.

Zoey's 3 Month Session

I was super-duper excited for this 3 month lifestyle session. Zoey's dad (who she clearly adores) is my cousin Joe. Our families have always been close, so Zoey feels more like a niece to me than a second cousin. She is the sweetest little love bug and I had so much fun snuggling her before, during and after her session. I'm so happy for Joe and Dina and can't wait to watch this little beauty grow up.

Lang Family

The Lang Family invited me into their home to capture some lifestyle photos in celebration of Rosie turning one and Juliet turning four. Lifestyle or "day in the life of" photos are some of my favorites. Everyone seems more relaxed and at ease in their own home and it makes my job so fun! I just love the simplicity and beautiful natural light in these photos...and how adorable are these two little girls?!

Doble Family

This family was so, so great and the absolute perfect way for me to finish out 2015. The Doble's are the most fun, loving and goofy family! I had such a blast with these guys and love that they ended the session with a snowball fight...I'm pretty sure dad won. =)

Andy

Happy New Year and also Happy Birthday to the wonderful man I share my life with. As some of you may know, my boyfriend Andy is a very talented Twin Cities drummer and was in need of some new head shots. We had a ton fun creating a few new promo shots for him. I love the range of serious to silly... oh... and his gorgeous blue eyes.

Lisa Wenger

I have known the beautiful and talented Lisa Wenger for about two years. Andy has been playing with Lisa's band, Lisa Wenger and Her Mean, Mean Men for years.  I love this lady and have such a blast with her every time we're together. She is working on a Christmas album and asked me to capture some awesome images for the cover. I just love these photos - hope you do too! Keep an eye out for the new album!

Alejandra

I loved every moment of my session with Alejandra. This beautiful girl has so much personality! Just look at that smile. We met up at a cool little park in Minnetonka on a very chilly morning and she rocked it! I seriously love every photo of this gorgeous girl.
